Justice for rape and murder victims

Justice for rape and murder victims
The Issue
On September 23 12 y/o girl from Bajhang district was raped and murderd. Again on September 25 another 12 y/o girl from Sunsari district was raped and murdered. On July 27 13 y/o girl from Kanchapur was raped and murdered. On December 15 a girl from Banke district was raped again after few days another girl was raped. 21 rape cases were registered since March in Banke but none of them got justice. According to police’s latest record around 2,114 cases were registered in 2019/20, 2,230 cases in 2018/19, 1,480 cases in 2017/18. These are the number of reported cases yet there are hundreds and thousands of rape cases which aren't reported, either the victim or victim’s family is threatened or maybe they haven't reported it to the police because they think the society will hate them. We've come through many cases where the crime isn't reported because they think it’s some sort of humiliation. Similarly, a 15-year-old gang-rape victim in Dhanusa district was offered 1.2 million rupees by a group of community elders, including some elected representatives. After her family refused to accept the deal, they started receiving "death threats," This is the condition of Nepal this is why the victims are not getting justice. Illiteracy is also one of the major cause, every people should be educated or should at least get basic education. Talking about the punishment system of Nepal the person only gets 7-8 years of prison. This punishment isn't enough for rapists; government should come up with more severe punishment like death penalty.
17-year-old Bhagirathi Bhatta had gone missing and was found dead on Thursday. Bhagirathi was from Baitadi district. She was a twelve grade student at Sanatan Dharma School. Wednesday morning, she left for school and didn't return home, after searching her nearly for a day the locals found her dead in nearby community forest. She was brutally raped and murdered. According to the police, district hospital conducted a postmortem, it confirmed that it was a gang rape. The ones who were involved aren't found yet.
This is one of the most recent rape and murder case, though investigation is being carried out yet we've no signs of justice. How many rape cases should increase so that there would be justice for inocent girls? How many dead bodies should be found so that girls can actually breathe without any fear of being touched and killed? What should we do so that we can open the clogged ears of our government? How embarrassing it is that we stand for leaders of our country but they don't stand for us. How selfish of people to ruin our country, the country where brave warriors gave up everything they had so that we could stay safe and live our dreams.
