I am a student of Institute of Cost Accountant of India (ICWAI) which is second professional accountancy body under the ownership of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India pursuing Cost Accountancy Course. It has been given a prime responsibility to contribute to the Cost and Management Accounting profession at global level. There are three levels of examination conducted by the Institute which is conducted twice a year i.e., June and December. Since last year, the Institute has shifted the mode of examination from offline to online. It has clarified via notification that in the online mode we have to type the answers to all the questions in the computer including numerical and theoretical questions. It was practically not possible to type each answer in of question in such a limited time but they never tried to listen our concerns and still conducted the examination in online mode in December 2020.

While conducting the examination in online mode, students had faced technical glitches and as a result 2 subsequent re-examination had been conducted by Institute for the students who had faced these glitches. However other Institutes like Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) and Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) had successfully conducted examination in offline mode in the month of December 2020. After that, in the month of April due to sudden increase in the Covid-19 cases, our Institute had postponed the Scheduled June 2021 examination in the month of July 2021 and again it had been postponed and was scheduled in the month of October 2021. However, Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) and Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) had successfully conducted examination in the month of July 2021 and August 2021 respectively in offline mode.

When the students were preparing their best to appear for examination, Institute again came with a notification that the examination had been merged with December 2021 term, and it has to be held from 8 December 2021 due to unavoidable circumstances.

With due respect, I would like to bring to your notice that the Institute had not yet issued any notifications regarding the students appearing their examination in Hindi language. (In online mode)

 Since, we are not accustomed to the online mode, it may end up losing marks as we will struggle to complete the paper on time. The question paper having numerical and theoretical questions makes difficult for us to frame the answers and type it as well in the limited time. This sudden shift from offline to online mode has mentally stressed us and we are not compatible to give the exam in this mode.

The Institute has issued Model Test Paper in pdf mode and online test portal in the month of November21 for us to practice which are in different pattern from the existing one leaving us in a confused state.

 The Council Members of the Institute has acted irresponsible towards us and playing with our future.

There are 80000+ students going to appear which is against online mode and want o examination in offline mode.Please Interfere in this matter and help us.
