As we all know Females are not safe in India and none of people are working on it to make the environment safe rather than Peoples are blaming govenment. We are starting this petition to make Individuals safe in their Home. As we all know almost all societies in India forms a rule to not to give houses to bachelors. If no one will give house to bacholors where the working individuals i.e. boys and girls will live ? Socities considered the safest place to live as socities have 24 x 7 security. What when socitiy President/Welfare association/AGM are not allowing Individual Females&males to live in their society. How we going to make our Females safe if we are the one who is not allowing to live Females in the Safe Place?

IT'S TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE

Article 14 and Article 15 of the Constitution of India, provide for equality before the law and prohibit discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, sex, place of birth or any of them. “Every member of the society has the right to give his flat on leave and license basis and the society cannot restrict bachelors or spinsters.

Sadly, Indian society still remains most of the times a closed one with clannish mindset and claustrophobic views. It is not uncommon to see, particularly in Non-metropolitan cities and towns, owners refusing to let their houses/apartments on rent to persons of certain communities or castes, and to certain sections of populations like bachelors or single women. Though this certainly reeks of some backward thinking or narrow mindset, I think there may not be a legal remedy against such private owners of property.

most of these societies/ associations are generally run by some people on a honorary basis,who do not have any professional expertise on such matters, and these people invariably get carried away by an illusion of power and develop a misplaced sense of self importance. They try to enforce many arbitrary practices in the hope that they would not be effectively challenged. When they are either convinced by polite persuasion, or confronted with questions about the legality of their arbitrariness, they invariably buckle down, and beat a hasty retreat.

THIS IS TOTALLY AGAINST THE LAW!!! No society or the committee has rights to put up such notices prohibiting anyone on the basis of certain categories, for instance cast, creed, religion, marital status etc. It’s wholly and solely Owner’s decision if s/he wants to keep bachelor tenants or not.

Let's pass a LAW that no Welfare Association are allowed to discriminate on the basis of Sex, Married and give house owners pure right, that they can give house to bachelors too.
