The Puchow de Manila Eatery has recently been granted permission to kill upto three dogs a day and to cook and sell the meat in their restaurant in Los Angeles, with the excuse that it is part of their "Religious Belief". I feel that the sale of dog meat in American Society is no only disgraceful but could also be very disturbing to children who have dogs as pets; not only does this go against what the Humaine Society stands up for, but as America is a more developed I have always regarded it as a forward thinking Country, therefore I am shocked that they are allowing the unnecessary death of animals regarded as domestic pets opposed to farm animals which are bred as part of the food chain. Allowing this to happen under the plea of "religious belief", opens the floodgates for other religious sects and societies to appeal for all sorts of things. Put an end to the sale of dog meat in any American resturant and save the lives of many!
