This petition was created for Warren County residents who SUPPORT the WCSD and School Board's decision to consolidate schools; and the subsequent closures of Youngsville and Sheffield High Schools. 

Please sign if you AGREE with the WCSD's decision and are ready to move forward and accept the closures.

This petition is NOT saying that the consolidation process is flawless. There have been and will be many trials and tribulations as this change unfolds. There are still many, many details that need worked out and questions that need answered by our School Board. 

This petition is asking for the general support in seeing a need for consolidation. This petition is saying that keeping four high schools open is not sustainable in our county. This petition is saying that there are real, informed factors that were thoroughly looked at by our duly elected school board before coming to this difficult decision. This petition is saying that change is hard but this needs to be done.

This petition is NOT cheering for communities losing their school; it is possible to both understand the huge upheaval that Youngsville and Sheffield will go through, and also see the bigger picture that this will help the county as a whole. 

This petition is to 'rip off the bandaid' and to finally accept a sad, necessary change for our county. We need to move forward, together, as a county, to make this process less painful. Dragging it out is only hurting our children more and causing more confusion and upheaval in an already difficult process.
