Dear Supporters,

The petition has been sent to the Prime Minister's Office along with the message below. We will keep the petition open for the next few weeks for further signatories and will update you further should there be a response within that time period.

In solidarity, Robin Sen and Yohai Hakak (Petition Organisers).

Dear Prime Minister,

We are writing to bring to your attention a petition we initiated, signed by over 1,000 UK-based health care, aid, and social care professionals. It calls on your Government to take urgent and principled action in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Specifically, we urge you to:
1) Immediately impose a full embargo on arms sales and military assistance to Israel;
2) Demand an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza;
3) Insist on the unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, under strict and transparent international supervision - or otherwise impose comprehensive sanctions.

We call on your Government to fulfil its solemn obligations under international law. The measures outlined above are essential to halting the ongoing, grave, and daily violations of human rights in Gaza.
