Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported this petition. As a lifelong Burlingtonian and City Councilor, I share your concerns and understand the importance of ensuring our downtown remains vibrant and successful. Burlington's success is closely tied to the health and growth of our local businesses, and I appreciate the local merchants who have been actively advocating for these improvements.

I want to share that we have already begun working on many of the requests outlined in the petition, and I plan to continue collaborating with my colleagues on the City Council to advocate for the changes our community needs. In fact, tonight the City Council is considering a very similar resolution, which I am proud to sponsor. This resolution reflects many of the priorities raised by the community and represents an important step toward addressing these shared concerns.

I look forward to continuing these efforts and working alongside community members to support our downtown merchants. Thank you for your engagement and commitment to making Burlington stronger.
