Mark McChristian has made a real difference in the lives of our students, including my son, who has excelled under his leadership. Because of Mr. McChristian, my son has grown in confidence, learned to lead, and developed a deep sense of pride in himself and in the band. His love for music and our band kids is evident and we, as a community, want to ensure he continues to lead this incredible program he has worked so tirelessly to build.

The East Limestone High School Band has flourished under Mr. McChristian’s direction. His dedication and passion have not only elevated our band’s performance but also instilled a sense of discipline, unity, and joy in our children. These values are essential to their growth, not just as musicians, but as individuals. The thought of losing such an impactful leader threatens the future success and stability of our beloved band program.

It has come to our attention that Mr. McChristian may not be returning as Band Director after this school year. We believe this decision is unjust and not in the best interest of our students or the band community at East Limestone High School. His departure would undoubtedly leave a void that would be difficult to fill.

Retaining Mr. McChristian is crucial for the ongoing success of the East Limestone High School Band. We propose to engage with the school administration to re-evaluate their decision and maintain a leader who has given so much of himself to the betterment of our students. By investing in Mr. McChristian, we are investing in our children's futures, ensuring they have a strong role model and continuance of excellent music education.
