We strongly support the application of the Redstone Historical Society (RHS) for a grant from the History Colorado State Historical Fund, aimed at acquiring the Demaestri-Durrett Cottage, a historic property at 138 Redstone Blvd. The acquisition of this cottage plays a crucial role in preserving the valuable history of Redstone and the Crystal River Valley. With the grant, RHS can expand the current exhibition space to display an increasing number of artifacts, documents, and photos that narrate the community's rich cultural tapestry. It's vital to conserve our history, not just for ourselves but for future generations to learn and understand their cultural roots.
