We, the residents and businesses of New England support the construction of a rail trail in the Great Northern Line Rail Corridor between Armidale Railway Station and Ben Lomond Railway Station. 

We call on Armidale Regional Council to commence construction without delay of the first section of the rail trail between Armidale Railway Station and Dumaresq Railway Station.

We request that this construction be funded by the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant of $5.4m offered to Armidale Regional Council for this explicit purpose and for the future economic benefit of the New England region.
