Support the New 24/7 EV Charging Station in Piedmont

The Issue

The City of Piedmont has a target goal of 50% EV ownership by 2030 and 100% by 2050. The proposed city's first-ever 14-stall, ultra-fast EV charging hub at 29 Wildwood will help the city meet the community’s current and future EV charging needs.

This EV charging station will be an added convenience to local EV drivers, greatly improve a local business property (which had been a gas station for 100 years), and help the region meet one of the top barriers to EV adoption — limited access to charging infrastructure.

For these, and many other reasons, we urge the Piedmont City Council to approve this proposed EV hub at its scheduled Nov. 18, 2024 meeting. It's an astute and pragmatic step forward into our electrified future.
