Lord Kakkar, Professor of Surgery, University College London, says:

“In all the important work to drive innovation, research and development of biomedicine that has been achieved in our country so far, we must be sensitive to the fact that we may not be meeting the expectations of patients-our fellow human beings-when they are at their most vulnerable. "And therefore more may need to be done to drive an improved culture for the adoption of innovation and the improvement of practice in our country.”
