Leading Young Women, Inc. is currently in the process of applying to create Girls Academy for Leadership & Excellence (G.A.L.E.) a new all girls charter school geared primarily toward uplifting girls from underserved communities in New Jersey. 

Girls Academy for Leadership & Excellence (GALE) symbolizes how young women can become powerful forces of change in their communities and beyond.

Just as a gale reshapes landscapes, clears paths, and signals transformation, the students of GALE will be strong, unstoppable, and transformative leaders—breaking down barriers, challenging limitations, and creating new opportunities for themselves and others. Their leadership, confidence, and resilience will sweep through their environments, inspiring progress and making a lasting impact, just as strong winds reshape the world around them.

Furthermore, charter schools serve a higher percentage of economically disadvantaged students compared to traditional public schools.
