A number of biased anti-cable car Aldermen have decided to grandstand by attempting to block any pathway required by the Cableway Company (MWCC) to progress towards a Development Approval.  A Council meeting on the night of Monday, 20 August 2018 will be a critical point.  However, the Council elections in October loom large.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IMMEDIATELY:

1. Write an e-mail to the MWCC pledging support and asking for Hobart City Aldermen to allow access to Council land for the survey.  This will allow MWCC to pass your message to Council. Send to this address: publicsay@mtwellingtoncablecar.com
2. Contact other Local, State and Federal elected representatives.  This is not just a Hobart City issue and the people of Tasmania deserve a voice.  Also contact other community leaders and representative groups who can bring pressure to bear.
3. If you are registered to vote in Hobart, then please do at the upcoming election. Some of the elected officials scraped through on around 300 primary votes. If you own or occupy land or can nominate as the representative of a corporate body, please make sure you are on the roll. 
4. Write a Letter to the Editor in The Mercury Newspaper voicing your support.
5. Call into your favourite talkback radio station and air your support!
6. Get your friends and family to Sign this petition and share it on social media.
7. Collect a Car Sticker for your rear window from the Display Centre at Brooke St Pier. These stickers were designed and printed by us - the Hobart Cable Car Supporters. You can also order them online with a small fee covering postage.
8. Join the positive side of the debate, the Hobart Cable Car Supporters. If you are anything like us you will be sick of the negativity and misinformation and it is time to push back!
