The Mt Wellington Cableway Company has released detailed plans today.  The Company has also announced that it has requested approval from the Minister to access the site to complete investigations required to submit a Development Application.

In addition, the Company has requested discussions with the Hobart City Council to progress road access via McRobies Gully.  However, of great concern to natural justice and procedural fairness, two of the Council Committee members (who are very public in their opposition) have immediately run to the media.  One Alderman is of particular concern due to his extremely cosy relationship to the opposition group - which is also concerning as the opposition group is headed up by a Council employee.  We ask you to contact the Council and Aldermen to express that the bias that has been openly displayed by some Committee members is completely unacceptable and demand that the relevant members abstain themselves from any discussions.
