The long illustrious legal career of Nat Hales is ending on a less than shiny note as alleged victims come forward claiming that Nat Hales, Jr., also known as Ned Hales, Jr., used an abuse of power and process to sexually harass or impose gender bias to deprive litigants in family law proceedings of property, assets and custody based on cases where he acted either as a lawyer, Trustee, Referee or Special Master in divorce and probate cases. Mr. Hales was to act as a fiduciary in such cases, bound by the State Bar's Professional Rules of Conduct and the Judicial Code of Ethics, a higher standard. Sadly, as more victims come forward, it appears Mr. Hales ignored his duty for decades. A disturbing pattern appears to be emerging indicating a number of lawyers, judges, CPAs and custody experts knew of Mr. Hales’ conduct, but were silent as they were often rewarded with bribes, kickback assignments and fee awards for their silence, or at least to look the other way. Alleged victims have formed a support group to assist other victims with the emotional trauma that years of legal abuse has inflicted on them based on involvement with Mr. Hales. A class action lawsuit is being explored and complaints are being prepared for the State Bar, Judicial Performance Council and Santa Clara County’s presiding judges, all of which have administrative oversight over licensed California attorneys and fiduciaries in Santa Clara County. The group is also searching for witnesses connected to “Bonnie” in Sunnyvale and a former staff member of a local law office, who are believed to have intimate knowledge of conduct related to various sexual harassment and abuse allegations against members of Santa Clara’s Family Law community. If you believe you were a victim, or know of women who were sexually harassed or solicited by any member of the Santa Clara Family Law community, and would like the emotional support of others who have had similar experiences, please email caljohnqpublic@gmail.com to join a group near you . All participants are carefully screened to protect victim privacy.
