Samantha, a dear friend and relentless servant of our community, has poured her heart and soul into creating a unique local business called The Grazing Tray. This charcuterie and coffee shop is not just a business; it's an integral part of our Jacksonville community. However, due to an unresolved legal issue with the state ABC commission, this beloved establishment is under threat. 

The commission has not provided any specific statute indicating any specific laws have been “broken”, but refuses to allow The Grazing Tray to operate in the same building as Dewey’s. Without clear guidance or reasons for this decision, Samantha and her team are left in limbo. If we do not act now, The Grazing Tray may be forced to close indefinitely.

This situation isn't just about one business; it's about preserving the vibrant culture of our local economy that businesses like The Grazing Tray contribute to significantly. It's about standing up for small businesses that make Jacksonville unique. 

Samantha, her staff and loyal “Grazers” meet annually to provide children meals during holidays throughout Onslow County. This alone sets her business apart; not only an amazing employer, but a wonderful business owner and woman of God. 

We must petition the ABC commission to reconsider their stance on this matter and allow both establishments - The Grazing Tray and Dewey’s - to coexist within the same building peacefully and continue operating. By doing so, we can ensure that Samantha continues serving our community through her passion for food and utmost hospitality.
