Now, as a parent and a community member, I want to provide those same opportunities for the next generation.
The Arbroath & Angus Community Pump Track is a vision intended to bring our community together, fostering sportsmanship, health, and fun. A pump track is a recreational area designed for bicycles, skates, skateboards, and scooters, allowing people of all ages and abilities to improve their skills in a safe environment. It's more than just a track; it’s a community hub where families can gather, kids can play, and skills can be honed.
Imagine a space where any child or adult, regardless of experience, can ride free, learn to navigate challenges, and gain confidence both physically and mentally. Pump tracks have been proven to increase community health and cohesion, sparking active lifestyles and reducing screen time. Cities that have implemented these tracks have reported not only increased physical activity but also a drop in anti-social behavior among the youth.
