My name is Zac, I have grown up in Kenilworth and been an avid member of the skateboarding community for over 15 years. I remember when I was younger how difficult it was to find a safe and engaging activity to participate in.  That's why I am dedicated to developing the dated, obsolete and frankly under invested and skatepark located at Castle Farm.

This project is not just about ramps and rails; it's about providing a space where our youth can develop skills, build confidence, and find belonging. Skateboarding, is more than just a sport; it teaches perseverance, discipline, creativity, and problem-solving skills. By offering this opportunity to our young individuals, we are investing in their future success.

Skateparks have been proven to enhance physical health among its users by promoting active lifestyles. They provide an outlet for exercise that is both enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels and ages. It is now a recognised Olympic sport.

Moreover these social spaces foster a sense of community. They become gathering places where friendships are formed and common connections are strengthened. This sense of belonging has been shown to improve mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness.

By supporting the creation of a newly redeveloped skatepark at Castle Farm, we will be investing in the overall development of Kenilworth culture while simultaneously cultivating stronger bonds within our local community.

I urge you all to sign this petition as an expression of your support for building a safe haven where our youth can flourish physically, mentally, and socially. Together, let us create opportunities that will empower them with valuable life skills while promoting an active and positive lifestyle.

Let us show that Kenilworth cares about its young individuals' well-being by providing them with access to recreational spaces that encourage growth and foster unity within our community!

I hope to rally support from the community which will enable me to highlight the importance of this project to the local council and possible funders.

Thank you for your support!
