Support the City of North Wildwood Gateway Veterans' Park Project

The Issue

The City of North Wildwood is pleased to present plans for the Gateway Veteran's Park Project. This project consists of various blocks and lots along with the public rights-of-way through the main corridor in the City along Spruce Avenue, Anglesea Drive, and New York Avenue.

The intention of this project is to significantly improve, complement, and rejuvenate the gateway into the City, while concurrently providing residents and visitors a place to honor our Veterans and Fallen Heroes. We hope to reconstruct the sites with various elements of the project bringing visitors of all ages to the existing underutilized site.

The various amenities to be included are as follows:

  • The first Gold Star Memorial in the State of New Jersey
  • Refurbished VFW Memorial
  • Armed Services Monolith
  • Fallen Heroes Memorial
  • Welcome Tower/Sculpture
  • Coastal Maritime Woodlands
  • Educational Gardens Walk with Surrounding Kiosks
  • Specialty Seating
  • New Site Lighting and Banners
  • Bike Racks, Fix-It Station, and Water Station

We hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the site of the Gold Star Memorial in May 2022 and have seen residents and visitors share the same eagerness as the City to get this project underway. Our plan is to officially break ground on this project beginning this fall.

We call on all residents and visitors of the City of North Wildwood to sign the petition in support of a project that plans to welcome all to our beautiful City.
