The Issue

Let's bring a pump track to Aliso Viejo — a safe, inclusive space where kids, teens, and families can ride, build skills, and connect.

The Aliso Viejo City Council voted 4–0 to move forward with a pump track, directing staff to study locations, allocate park in-lieu funds, and report back in 30 days. If a viable site is confirmed, this project is on track to become a reality.

This is very an exciting opportunity for our community!

Now is the time for residents to show their support and help ensure this project moves forward successfully. Sign below to show your support.

WHAT IS A PUMP TRACK?

Pump tracks have become a popular, modern amenity in communities around the world. Once considered niche, they are now recognized as highly effective recreational spaces that combine physical activity, skill development, and social connection for riders of all ages and skill levels— making them a valuable addition to cities everywhere.

A pump track is a loop of smooth, banked turns and rolling features that riders navigate by “pumping” to maintain momentum — designed for all ages and skill levels and can be used with bikes, scooters, skateboards, and balance bikes.

WHY ALISO VIEJO

We're a city built around outdoor living, with parks, trails, and recreation at its core. A pump track is a natural fit.

Communities across Southern California are already seeing the benefits. Established pump tracks in places like San Diego, Temecula, and Inglewood have become popular, well-used amenities for local families and riders. More recently, the pump tracks in San Clemente and Moreno Valley have quickly become a highly valued and heavily used community spaces.

Pump tracks offer a unique combination of fun, physical activity, skill development, and social connection for riders of all ages and abilities.

WHY PUMP TRACKS WORK

Unlike many sports facilities, a pump track can be used anytime, without teams or schedules. And unlike playgrounds, kids don’t outgrow them — they grow into them. They are:

  • Safe – A designated, sanctioned space away from traffic
  • Inclusive – Welcoming to all ages and abilities
  • Healthy – Encourages outdoor activity and skill development
  • Social – Builds community and connection

Young kids can build confidence. Teens and adults can challenge themselves. Families can stay active together.

YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

We believe a pump track is a meaningful addition to Aliso Viejo and support moving this project forward. Let’s show that Aliso Viejo is ready to ride!
