Our businesses, customers, delivery drivers, and staff are all affected by the lack of parking and never-ending construction sites in the City Centre. 
As a result, customers are dwindling, staff are leaving, businesses are experiencing loss in revenue or are shutting down - those that are left standing are suffering. 

Businesses have not been offered any support or compensation to secure their futures in this once booming City Centre.  Abandoned shops on Devonport Road are a constant reminder that those who have kept the area alive for many years are unable to cope. This part of Tauranga was a vibrant and busy hub and to see this decline is saddening and a negative for all of the city.

The City Centre is important, for many their lively hoods depend on its success. Priority should be given to adequate parking before it’s too late for those left standing. Construction work should be done thoughtfully, ensuring the least amount of inconvenience. and finally, compensation/ support should be provided to the businesses suffering.
