Tesla began deliveries of the long-awaited Cybertruck in late 2023 with the Foundation Series. They gave all the of hundreds of thousands of pre-orders an opportunity to order one with the stipulation of a $1000 non-refundable deposit.

Somewhere along this simple process, hundreds of people decided they could make up their own rules, place their orders for a Foundation Series, and delay their delivery indefinitely until Tesla offers them a Cybertruck with a lower price point. 

Tesla has now contacted these customers informing them to take delivery of their Foundation Series Cybertruck or forfeit their deposits.

The internet is now clamoring with disgruntled users claiming Tesla is acting in bad faith demanding their non-refundable deposits be refunded.
