My husband and I have a deep passion for hosting travelers and sharing the beauty of Ricketts Glen and the local area with them. It's more than just a business; it's about community, connection, and showcasing our beautiful location. I know every other local host feels the same too. 
However, current regulations limit our ability to offer short-term rentals in our area and Luzerne County Zoning is starting to challenge these rentals in Fairmount Township.

Short-term rentals contribute significantly to the local economy. According to data from Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, short-term rentals generated over $300 million in revenue statewide in 2019 (source: Pennsylvania Association of Realtors). In Luzerne County alone, tourism supports approximately 5,000 jobs (source: Luzerne County Convention & Visitors Bureau).
