Supporters, we won an important victory today. The City's House Delegation voted to take no action on HB101 indefinitely meaning it won't get a hearing in the House Judiciary committee and is essentially a "dead" bill. Our delegates heard our concerns and made the right choice to table the issue until we could have our say. Please remember to thank your delegates for their work! However, the House delegation's action does not kill SB17, the Senate cross-filed bill. This bill will move forward, and while its chances of passing are slim, we still must be vigilant and let our state senators know we do not support this bill. The Senate's Judicial Proceedings Committee is scheduled to hear this bill next Thursday, March 12th at 1 pm. We need to contact the members of this committee and ask them to vote against SB17.
