Tonight, I presented the petition to the school board. The board heard from parents and students in opposition of this bill. But they also heard for the school police talking about all the good they do. It's true. In many cases the school police officers have a positive impact, and they've done so without carrying firearms in the school. Unfortunately, they still refuse to answer the question of why they need this expanded power to do the job they do. So we need to keep the signatures coming. I will forward the signatures to our city delegation in Annapolis. We have over 350 signatures now. Let's get it to 500! Keep sharing and reaching out to your networks.
