As a lifelong educator and father, I’ve seen firsthand how limited school options can hold kids back—especially Black and Brown children. It's been a personal mission of mine to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn in a nurturing, rigorous, and student-centered environment. This is why we are launching Schenectady Scholars, an innovative public charter school dedicated to blending the best of Montessori education with a strong academic foundation.

Schenectady Scholars aims to provide a free, high-quality educational option for families in Schenectady, NY. At this school, children will be encouraged to pursue learning with confidence, curiosity, and joy. By incorporating Montessori methods within a structured academic framework, Schenectady Scholars promotes hands-on, student-led learning experiences where children can flourish at their own pace.
