Support Rosa Parks Charter High School's Fight for Existence

Support Rosa Parks Charter High School's Fight for Existence
The Issue
To all current and former students/families of Rosa Parks Charter High School (RPCHS) and concerned Rochester community members, we are looking for your support in the fight to keep RPCHS as a critical resource for our youth. I am a parent who has seen, firsthand, the transformative power of RPCHS. Both of my children did not succeed in the crowded public school system for a variety of reasons. As a result, their academic performance declined. RPCHS provided a supportive and safe environment that completely changed their trajectory.
RPCHS has been serving our community for over 25 years, turning around the lives of thousands of students who often aren't served effectively in the public schools. Unfortunately, allegations from a few families have threatened this institution's survival. We must consider the larger picture and the multitude of lives positively affected by this school.
Supporting RPCHS is about supporting the kind of education that values and nurtures every student, especially those who might get lost in a traditional public school. This institution raises children who are academically successful and, more importantly, emotionally stronger and happier. Many students report that RPCHS was lifesaving, taking them from a place of barely surviving to thriving.
We are calling on everyone who values a diverse range of educational opportunities for our children to stand together in defending Rosa Parks Charter High School. Sign the petition and if possible, share your positive experiences and testimonials (email Liv Dow at ldow@rocchs.org). Your voice matters. Please sign and share this petition to ensure this school continues to serve and inspire students in our Rochester community. Note: Please do not donate in the field below; RPCHS is not asking for monetary donations. It is a default field that supports the petition website.
