What began as a call for stronger animal protection laws in South Carolina has grown into a movement of compassionate people who believe animals deserve better. Every signature represents someone who refuses to accept that neglect and cruelty should go unchecked.

As we continue building support, I want to remind everyone that when the South Carolina General Assembly reconvenes, Riley’s Act will be reintroduced. While the bill number and possibly even the title may change for the new legislative session, our mission remains exactly the same: to strengthen South Carolina’s animal neglect laws and give law enforcement and prosecutors better tools to protect animals.

This petition is not starting over—it continues to demonstrate to our lawmakers that thousands of South Carolinians support meaningful change.
