If you've ever waited for the bus on Detroit Avenue at W65th Street, you know that the shelters on this corner offer little protection from the elements.

Part of a successful vision for public art in the neighborhood they are visually striking, but practically speaking they need revisited. Snow, wind and rain penetrate the open holes in the frame, and the one-person, metal bench gets hot in the summer.
