Support Plymouth's new Ice Rink

The Issue

Bring Ice Back to Plymouth - Our City Deserves It.

Plymouth once had a place where families laughed together, where children learned to skate for the first time, where hockey teams trained with pride, and where young skaters dreamed big. When the ice rink closed, we didn't just lose a building - we lost a piece of our city's heart.

Since then, Plymouth has become the largest city in the UK without an ice rink.

Our children now travels hours to Bristol just to skate.

Parents spend late nights on the road for their children's dreams.

Local teams and figure skaters have nowhere to call home proudly.

And a whole generation has grown up without the chance to experience the magic of stepping onto the ice for the first time.

It shouldn't be this way.

We are campaigning to bring a new, modern, community focused ice rink back to Plymouth, a place where families can make memories again, where young people can train, where schools can visit, and where our city can finally have the facility it deserves.

A new rink would bring;

  • A full size ice pad for public skating.
  • A home for hocket teams and figure skaters.
  • School sessions and youth programmers
  • A warm cafe and viewing areas.
  • Year round activities for families.
  • New jobs and new life to the West End.

This isn't just about ice.

It's about giving Plymouth something joyful, healthy, and hopeful again.

Everyone who signs this petition will receive a `Supporters Discount Card` when the rink officially opens,  a small thank you for standing with us and helping bring this dream back to life.

School logo & wall-art competition

As part of this campaign, we are inviting every school in Plymouth to take part in a city-wide art and logo competition. Students will have the chance to design;

  • A new logo for the ice rink
  • Wall art and murals that will be displayed inside the venue when its opens

This gives young people a real opportunity to shape the identity of the rink and leave their mark on a major community project. Winning designs will be showcased inside the building, and all participating student's will receive special perks for opening week as a thank you for being part of Plymouth's ice skating future.

This isn't just about building a rink.

It's about inspiring creativity, pride, and belonging across our city.

Please sign and share.

Let's show the Council, investors, and operators that Plymouth hasn't forgotten what we lost, and that we're ready to bring it back!

Together, we can put ice back where it belongs in the heart of our city.
