We, the undersigned, urge the Board of Trustees of Prosper ISD to appoint the vacancy in Place 7 as soon as possible. We believe the Board of Trustees should appoint a person with ISD experience, who would not run for the position in the future but is willing to serve the remainder of the term in order to establish the stability our community desperately needs. An election should be held at the conclusion of Place 7 term so that we may vote for the candidate of our choice. Prosper ISD citizens elected the current board members to serve and represent our community to the best of their ability and we believe that they will do so.

Now is not the time to hold an election for Place 7. It will only bring further divide and disruption to our school system. What our students need, what our teachers and school leadership need is stability, experience and support.

We urge the Board of Trustees to honor our request of bringing stability and experience by appointing Place 7 as soon as possible. We love our students, we love our teachers and school leadership, let’s come together to support them and show them they are loved by our community.
