This petition has evolved as our understanding has grown… it now stands simply as a message of love and gratitude for Mrs. Young.

Our Piney Woods Elementary family has been deeply impacted by the absence of our beloved principal, Mrs. Cassy Paschal Young.

From the first day Piney Woods opened its doors, Mrs. Young poured her heart into creating not just a school, but a community - one filled with joy, connection, and care. Her laughter and dance moves in the car line, her encouraging words to staff and students, and her presence in every corner of the building made Piney Woods Elementary feel like home.

We are all deeply affected by her absence. While we may never know every detail of what led to this change, we respect her privacy completely. What we do know is how much she has meant to our children, teachers, and families - and how deeply she is missed.

It is our hope that this petition becomes a collective message of love, gratitude, and unwavering support for the absolute best principal in the district.

While we are unsure whether any changes can be made at this point, we want to express our heartfelt wish that, should there ever be an opportunity for her to return, she will be welcomed home with open arms. We stand firmly behind Mrs. Young and humbly ask for the reconsideration of anyone who may be opposed to her return, as her lasting and positive impact on Piney Woods Elementary is undeniable.
