Dear Supporters,
It’s been a while since we last reached out, and we’re writing today with some important updates — and a simple request.
First, the request.
The Town has launched short surveys to gather community feedback on proposed designs for four park sites in Tiburon:
- Former sanitation pond site (Lineal Park)
- Cypress Hollow Park
- Bel Aire Park
- Belveron Park
The designs and surveys can be accessed here:
https://www.townoftiburon.org/622/Parks-Recreation-Master-Plan
Please complete the surveys as soon as possible. Your input will directly influence which amenities the Town prioritizes and adds to our parks.
Now, the updates.
Last October, the Town Council approved funding to hire landscape architects to develop conceptual designs for these four park sites.
The Town engaged two firms for this work. RHAA Landscape Architecture and Planning of Mill Valley is leading the design for the former sanitation pond site, while Carlile Macy of Santa Rosa is developing designs for Cypress Hollow, Bel Aire, and Belveron parks.
The landscape architecture firms are scheduled to present their concepts at a special meeting of the Parks, Open Space, and Trails Commission (POST) on Monday, February 23, at 6:00 pm.
We’ll be there — and we hope you’ll join us. Please wear green to show your support for enriching Tiburon’s park system.
We are getting very close to seeing real, meaningful improvements. Our continued involvement will ensure the town moves from ideas to action!
Sincerely,
Parents for Parks + Rec
