We are writing to ask you to please copy, paste and send the letter below to the Town Council by next Monday, May 19, at noon. The Council is expected to make important decisions about our park system during its meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, and we need as many letters of support as we can get!

Subject: Public Comment for Town Hall 5/21/25

Dear Town Council,

I am a Tiburon resident. I urge the Town Council to follow through on motions it passed during its March 19th meeting and ensure these items are added to the town’s 2025-2026 budget: 

•  Identify a site for a SUP/kayak launch.
•  Renovate the playground and lawn at Cypress Hollow Park.
•  Do a feasibility study for an inclusive playground at Zelinsky Park.
•  Ensure Tiburon’s playgrounds are inclusive and accessible. 
•  Begin bike/walk safety improvements on the Old Rail Trail.
•  Create a map of the town’s parks.

I also want to urge the Town Council to add this item to the list of priorities: 

•  Discuss and approve the addition of a basketball court and beach volleyball court at the former sanitation ponds site in Lineal Park.

With critical decisions about the town’s annual budget coming up on June 4, 2025, we urge the Town Council to prioritize improvements to our park system. These improvements will benefit people of all ages and will greatly enrich our community.
