The Issue

I've lived in Palm Beach County for years, filled with admiration for the vibrant community we are part of and the natural beauty surrounding us. Ever since moving to this incredible area, I've dreamed of creating a safe, family-friendly place where we can come together and make the most of one of our greatest local resources: Lake Osborne. My vision is to establish a community Water Sports School that provides kids, families, and visitors with opportunities to experience the joys of wake surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, and sailing.

This facility would be more than just a school; it would become a cherished part of our community's lifestyle—a place where children can begin their journey toward a healthy, active lifestyle in a safe and nurturing environment. Imagine a vibrant, bustling hub of activity on Lake Osborne that draws both locals and visitors, promoting not only a love for the water but also for the connections and friendships that form while learning together.

Establishing this school is not just about sports; it's about fostering community spirit, enhancing local tourism, and providing our children with constructive, life-enriching activities that detour them from negative influences. In a world where digital screens often dominate our children's attention, the Water Sports School can offer them an alternative—a refreshing break into the natural world that benefits their minds and bodies.

We are in the perfect location to harness this potential. With West Palm Beach's favorable climate and the beautiful expanse of Lake Osborne, we have all the ingredients necessary for a successful and impactful enterprise. It is up to us to seize this opportunity and transform it into a reality. Your support is crucial to making this dream happen.

Currently, Palm Beach County lacks a dedicated school for wake surfing and similar water sports, leaving both residents and visitors with limited options for safe instruction.  County officials were pleased with our idea but after talks eventually said NO, without any explanation or reason. We are having hard time to reach them, they don't unswear our emails, phone call as well as our request for meetings.

By signing this petition, you're not just advocating for a water sports school; you're supporting a future where our community thrives on activity, togetherness, and the pure enjoyment of nature. Let's make our vision come true for the generations to come. Please sign this petition and help us take the first step toward opening the doors of this community asset.
