The Virgin Islands Progressive Movement (VIPM) is currently trying to alleviate the devastating impacts of WAPA's failure to provide consistent and reliable electrical power and completely accurate (not estimated) billing to its customers by proposing our legislators support a receivership to replace the WAPA board that has been failing us.

• This can improve public confidence if trust in current leadership has eroded.

• The receiver can renegotiate contracts, improve collections, reduce unnecessary expenses, and develop a realistic financial recovery plan.
