The Eastern North Carolina Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a new non profit organization which is looking for volunteers interested in building a Board of Directors.

The ENC SPCA will provide community services which are not currently available through Dare County Animal Care and Control services and seeks to fill gaps in services not addressed by other organizations including low cost humane euthanasia services. 

 As a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, our mission is to reduce the population of unwanted animals through education as well as comprehensive spay/neuter programs, support and resources to minimize the number of animals losing their homes, and end of life animal care which is compassionate, affordable and recognizes the emotional commitment families invest in their companion pets.  The ENC SPCA will be licensed but will not be an open intake facility.
