The Many Paws Granny’s attended and spoke during the Public Comments section of the Dare County Board of Commissioners Meeting on January 6, 2025 about how Dare county residents are struggling with paying the high cost for humane pet euthanasia. We reminded the Commissioners that Dare County had the First Colony, Dare County is First in Flight, and Dare County can be First with innovative humane end of life services for Dare County residents.

Please watch the information provided to the Commissioners on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/live/1NBf8waxGvU?si=r6iMHvHK3zUIy9Pb  Pam’s comments begin at 35:40, Lisa’s comments begin at 40:10, and Bill Coleman (SPCA Director)’s comments begin at 43:11.

Dare County residents have shown they can be a force for positive change when they join together and make their voices heard. If you have a story you would like to share about your experience with the cost of euthanasia for your pet in Dare County, please share it on the Many Paws Grannys Facebook Page, and email us at manypawsgrannys (at) gmail.com.  If you have not yet, please make sure and sign our petition on Change.org.  Your feedback can help make changes.

Affordable, compassionate end of life care for our family pets will help make their final journey crossing the Rainbow Bridge a gentler experience for everyone in the family.
