The Islamic Center of Bloomington Needs Your Support!
The Islamic Center of Bloomington is advocating for the opportunity to purchase the vacant land adjacent to our facility from Indiana University. This expansion would allow us to better serve our growing community and create a more inclusive space for all Muslims in Bloomington.

Why This Matters:
Our community has grown significantly over the years, and our current facility faces increasing challenges in accommodating everyone during Friday prayers, Eid celebrations, Ramadan activities, and educational programs. The adjacent empty plot of land presents a unique opportunity to:

-Expand prayer and gathering spaces to comfortably accommodate our growing congregation
-Create dedicated facilities for youth programs, educational classes, and community events
-Provide adequate parking for Friday prayers and special occasions
-Build a more welcoming environment for families, students, and all community members
-Foster unity by bringing our entire community together in one expanded location

How You Can Help
-We need your voice! By signing our petition, you help demonstrate to Indiana University the strong community support for this expansion. Your signature shows IU that:

This land acquisition would serve a vital community need
-The Muslim community at IU and in Bloomington supports this initiative
-Expanding the Islamic Center benefits the entire Bloomington community

This is especially important for IU-affiliated Muslims – students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Your connection to the university gives your voice particular weight in this advocacy effort.
