On March 2, 2022, President Joe Biden, in a televised State of the Union address, discussed the topic of mental health. As a peer advocate for mental health, I have watched this from beginning to end, and I agree with the 46th President. Mental health is indeed a problem in the United States and abroad; something needs to be done about this ongoing problem. Since the pandemic has attacked the entire world, everyone has been affected by it, including people with mental health issues (addiction or mental illness). Teenagers, adults and those in the LGBTQIA+ community or senior citizens alike have been, and still are, the groups most affected. I want to continue to ask all of you for your signature to continue to share the link to this petition and request people in your community to add their names to the petition to get this message to others. Your continued support for this petition will not only help get the news out about the topic of mental health and mental health issues, but it will also help President Biden get his agenda to get the funding and support his legislation bills that will help us get the necessary help and support that we all need for better mental health during this challenging part of our everyday lives.
