Outreach to the Office of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services!

This week, I sent an email, including our petition, to Jill Stemple, Director of the Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development at DHS, informing her of the critical gap in Medicaid care access in PA, emphasizing the urgent need for credentialing parity for LAPCs, and encouraging OMHSAS to revise their policies to recognize LAPCs as Medicaid providers in PA.

The Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development houses the Division Behavioral Health Policy, which "leads legislative and regulatory analysis, develops policy guidance and bulletins, and advances proposed regulations to strengthen behavioral health services across the Commonwealth."

In less than 24 hours, Jill confirmed receipt of our petition and informed me that she will be discussing this important issue with her team.

We are gaining traction!
