Just a quick note to let you know Assembly Bill 48 (AB48) passed out of the Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety yesterday with seven ayes (and five noes). I'll keep you updated as this bill progresses. Weather forecasters are predicting temps in the 90s this weekend. My heart goes out to anyone who has to labor in this weather - including police officers, who are required to wear 5 to 20 pounds of metal. Ugh. (I believe that's the average weight of police vests.
