Sorry to add to your inbox, but I want to remind you to please write or call the group doing the study of the Madison Police Department. You don't have to write anything fancy - even a sentence or two makes a difference. If you do plan to write, or have written, would you please let me know? It's imperative that as many of us as possible let the review group know how we feel about Madison PD. Because I suspect the opposition will be writing their own letters. Please don't be content to let others make their voices heard. Be the change. This past June, the Madison Common Council passed a $400,000 study of the Madison PD. In July, our "Support Madison Police" grassroots group submitted this petition with your signatures and comments, to a Common Council meeting. One of our requests was that they rescind the study. Our plea was rejected. In October, the Council chose the California-based OIR Group to lead the study. Please let me know if you have questions.
