It's been about a week since we sent our counter letter to the US Department of Justice. It'll probably be awhile before someone responds. That's expected. What's not expected is the seeming lack of interest from the media. Our group's PR guru sent a media blast about a week ago, but so far, there have been no takers. Members of the media did, however give attention to the other group's letter (the object of our counter). It's tempting to want to speculate, but we'll reserve judgment - could be any number of reasons why there's no interest thus far. In the meantime, we'll continue to support Chief Koval and Madison PD. I did follow up with the mayor's office about the status of the petition, but haven't heard back yet. Will keep you posted.
