Support Long Beach Traveling Rings on Alamitos Beach!

The Issue

As local residents, fitness enthusiasts, climbers, kids and gymnasts, we’re advocating for a new city park for the Long Beach traveling rings and fitness equipment at Alamitos Beach!!!!  The concept is modeled after the Santa Monica traveling rings: travelingrings.org.  This new park would serve as a touristic destination and provide excellent free exercise options in west Long Beach all while supporting the 2028 infrastructure development of the Grow Long Beach Plan.  It would provide much needed recreational and training options for the public of all ages while promoting physical activity! The proposed location is Alamitos Beach south of 3rd Place and the surrounding vicinity where there is ample space for the proposed infrastructure.  The proposed elements of the traveling rings park would include:

Large traveling rings;

Small traveling rings;

Pull-up bar sets;

Slackline posts;

Parallel bars;

Other similar infrastructure.

Please sign the petition requesting Vice Mayor Cindy Allen (district2@longbeach.gov) to support creating this park initiative in District 2!
