Support limits on climate pollution from oil and gas operations

The Issue

When the EPA proposed new limits on climate pollution from oil & gas operations, industry had an interesting response.

Spokespeople from groups like the American Petroleum Institute, Western Energy Alliance, and America's Natural Gas Alliance claimed that the requirements were unnecessary, because industry would lower its dangerous greenhouse gas emissions voluntarily.

The truth is, fewer than one percent of producers have participated in the EPA's voluntary climate pollution reduction program for oil & gas.

It is not acceptable for the oil & gas industry to have NO NATIONAL LIMITS on this dangerous climate pollution. It's time to hold them accountable, and pave the way for real climate action.
