Heavy rock lost its most iconic figure in December 2015 with the sudden and unexpected death of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister.  Lemmy was a force of nature and the very essence of heavy metal.  We believe it is fitting that the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry accept our proposals submitted 29th February 2016 to change the naming criteria for elements in Periodic Table to allow for a future discovery to be named Lemmium.
