On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the Niskithe Prayer Camp transformed the initial stationary camp to a moving prayer camp. From roughly 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., members and allies of the camp walked for hours from the location of the stationary camp (near 4575 S 1st St, Lincoln, NE 68512) to multiple sites throughout the city of Lincoln. The stops along the way included the Lincoln City County Building (aka Lincoln City Hall), the Nebraska Capitol Building & Centennial Mall, and the Catholic Diocese & Cathedral of the Risen Christ. You can virtually follow their journey via the May 18, 2022, posts to the Niskithe Prayer Camp FaceBook page (see link directly below):

Accompanying this update is the video documenting the stop at the Lincoln Catholic Diocese & Cathedral of the Risen Christ. Despite the welcoming, prayerful spirit of the Niskithe Prayer Camp, the Catholic Bishop did not join; nor did he act in a Christ-like spirit of love, openness, and hospitality (see more details in the video). Yet, as reflected in the prayers of Native elder Sue Bad Moccasin, Niskithe Prayer Camp continued to offer calls for respect for Indigenous Rights, Mother Earth and all of Earth's relatives as well as love and kindness for all.
