We speak for all the Granite State residents who take pride in calling themselves true New Hampshireites. It's high time our state had an official song that truly encapsulates the spirit, values, and culture that make New Hampshire distinct. "The Official State Song of New Hampshire" by Hobo Wizard resonates deeply with residents, as it highlights the unique beauty and ethos of our state, unlike any other.

For decades, many have felt disconnected from "Old New Hampshire," our current state song since 1949, which, while historic, does not capture the essence of our evolving identity and the people who live here today. In contrast, Hobo Wizard has crafted a melody and lyrics that reflect our love for our mountains, lakes, and communities while embodying the resilience, independence, and no nonsense attitude New Hampshire is renowned for.

Recognizing Hobo Wizard's song as New Hampshire's official state anthem would not only honor local artistry but also breathe new life into our state's traditions. It would serve as a beacon of what we hold dear, from our rugged landscapes to the tenacious spirit that drives us.

Moreover, this change would engage younger generations, fostering a greater sense of belonging and pride. Our young people deserve a state song that speaks to their aspirations and underscores their role in shaping New Hampshire's future.

We kindly urge the New Hampshire State House and the Governor to carefully consider this proposal. By adopting Hobo Wizard's music, we not only update New Hampshire's cultural emblem but also send a powerful message that we value homegrown talent and progressive representation.

Join us in this movement to ensure that our beloved state is represented through a song that New Hampshireites can proudly sing and relate to. Let us stand together to make "The Official State Song of New Hampshire" the state song it deserves to be. Sign this petition and help make a difference for Granite Staters everywhere.
